Blobel Films Prämisse ist es, gesellschaftlich relevante Themen auf eine solche Weise anzusprechen, dass sie nichts von ihrer Brisanz verlieren und dabei trotzdem fest im Genrekino verankert bleiben, um ein möglichst großes Publikum zu erreichen und so an der Diskussion teilhaben zu lassen. Wir glauben daran, dass Art House und Unterhaltung kein Oxymoron sein müssen und im Gegenteil die Meisterwerke der Filmgeschichte eine Symbiose aus den besten Elementen beider bilden.
Our story
At the age of 15, we made two decisions that at first glance seem incompatible: That we would dedicate our lives to making movies and that we would never attend film school. Although the second decision demonstrates a great deal of youthful arrogance, we have never regretted it. Because it allowed us to choose the teachers from whom we really wanted to learn: Directors like Stanley Kubrick, Luis Bunuel or Marlen Chuzijew have left us through their filmography a film school in which anyone is accepted as a student. At least anyone who can pay the tuition: a manic love for the medium of cinema.
